MEET THE FOUNDER
Tanya Zajdel, RN
I’m Tanya — a women’s health nurse and mental health worker who builds body-based trauma healing programs for people who want to feel safe in their body again.
My work has been featured at the Tribeca Film Festival, CBC News, Vox Tablet, and iHeartRadio. But what matters most to me is this: trauma can make life feel smaller — and healing is possible, in a way that’s gentle, practical, and grounded in the nervous system.
Rewire was born from both professional training and lived experience. I’ve personally moved through trauma, loss, and recovery — and I understand how complex it can be to “know what to do” intellectually, but still feel stuck in your body. My approach focuses on helping you build new pathways of safety and regulation through body-based practices that support neuroplasticity — the brain’s ability to change.Â
Trauma Coaching With Tanya
If you’re a trauma survivor looking for a supportive space to heal, I’m here. Whether your trauma comes from childhood experiences or more recent overwhelming events, it can show up in your nervous system in powerful ways — anxiety, hypervigilance, shutdown, dissociation, emotional flooding, grief, or feeling disconnected from yourself and others.
In our sessions, we work in a body-first, trauma-informed way. That may include nervous-system regulation, vagal toning, somatic approaches, gentle movement, breath, grounding, and expressive/creative tools — always at a pace that feels safe and collaborative. You won’t be pushed to relive your story. Instead, we focus on building capacity, stabilization, and relief in the present.
If you’re ready to take a steady next step — with empathy, clarity, and practical tools you can use right away — you’re welcome to book a session. You don’t have to do this alone.
